Veneers
Veneers are thin layers of ceramic or porcelain that bond onto the front of your existing teeth and transform your smile. They can be used to straighten or lengthen teeth, fill in gaps, whiten and brighten your smile, and repair chipped or worn areas.
Teeth Whitening
This simple, safe, and non-invasive process uses the power of oxygen to remove external stains and internal discoloration from your teeth to restore a naturally bright white smile.
Orthodontics - Invisalign and Six Month Smiles
Create your best smile by repositioning, straightening or closing gaps between your teeth. We offer two options for adult cosmetic orthodontics, Invisalign and Six Month Smiles. Both systems are designed to align your teeth while being nearly invisible compared to traditional metal bracket and wire braces.
Gum Contouring
Even beautiful teeth can look displeasing when gum contours are noticeably uneven or asymmetrical. Gingivectomy and crown lengthening procedures can improve the gum line to make short teeth appear longer or your smile look more symmetrical. Gum grafting can repair areas of recession by moving the gum tissue back to its proper position.

Your smile is often the first thing people notice about you and what they remember. Of course, you want to dazzle the world with your pearly whites, a great smile is empowering and gives you confidence with everyone you meet. So whether you are preparing for a big event like a wedding or just want to be able to smile without feeling self-conscious, our teeth whitening options will give you the stunning smile you’ve always wanted.
What causes tooth discoloration? There are many factors. The most common among these are aging, consumption of staining substances (coffee, tea, colas, tobacco, red wine), trauma, nerve degeneration, and old restorations. During tooth formation, the consumption of tetracycline may also cause tooth discoloration.
While some people may think that all whitening treatments are more or less the same, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Do-It-Yourself treatment options abound, but they often lack the speed and results patients desire. Not all teeth whiten as well as others. Yellow and brown stained teeth tend to bleach well, while blue and gray-hued teeth aren’t affected as easily. Bondings and crowns can also cause challenges as the materials they are made from don’t bleach, leaving them the same drab color while your shiny white teeth brighten around them.
Our Preferred Treatment
Nashville Restorative Dentistry uses a whitening system that has been described as the most reliable and effective bleaching system ever developed - the KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System. This system can even work on tetracycline-stained or especially dark teeth.
First, we take a digital scan of your teeth to create a custom fitted tray. Then, you use that tray to apply the bleaching gel to your teeth over a two week period in the comfort of your own home. In challenging cases, we will follow with a third in-office step where a more concentrated gel can be used on the teeth. The result is beautiful, healthy and natural-looking teeth.
Patients who use this product have shown low to no sensitivity, and the system is completely safe for both teeth and gums. We intentionally chose this product for its lack of many chemicals and preservatives found in other bleaching systems.

A note about Whitening Toothpastes
All toothpastes help remove surface stains through the action of mild abrasives. Teeth Whitening toothpastes have special chemical or polishing agents that provide additional stain removal effectiveness. Unlike bleaching, however, these products cannot alter the intrinsic color of your teeth. Furthermore, we do not recommend their use because they are often overly abrasive. This means prolonged use can actually cause enamel loss, gum recession, and sensitivity and wear of exposed root surface along the gum line.

Veneers
Dramatically improve the look of your smile with this conservative and transformational approach.
- Prepless Micro-thin veneers are the ultimate in conservative treatment and can be placed with no drilling of enamel.
- Veneers bond over your existing teeth to correct slight imperfections or make significant alterations in appearance.
- Can be a quicker option to achieve the smile of your dreams than other treatments like braces or whitening.

If you’re unhappy with misaligned teeth, unsightly gaps, annoying chips, or the shape and length of your teeth, then veneers could be the perfect choice for you.
Because veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth, this is often one of the least invasive and most painless procedures available for improving your smile.
Nashville Restorative Dentistry is a trained and certified provider of DURAthin and Micro-thin veneers. These provide the ultimate option in veneer artistry while sparing the destruction to your teeth and enamel that traditional veneers require. You don't have to permanently damage your teeth to create the smile of your dreams!
Let us show you what's possible. With some simple photographs and a digital scan of your teeth, we can develop a mock up to show you what your smile could become!

Having gaps or crooked teeth can be embarrassing. Some people go their whole lives afraid to smile or laugh because they don’t like the way their teeth look. In addition to cosmetic concerns, crowded teeth can put your overall health at risk. Crowded teeth can increase your chances of developing gum disease because of the increased difficulty in keeping plaque and tartar controlled.
The good news is that you can have the smile you’ve always dreamed of! We have two different orthodontic solutions for adults that you can choose from, both of which are every bit as safe as they are efficient. Let's talk about your goals and determine the best plan for you.
Invisalign® Clear Braces
You’ve heard of Invisalign, now experience its amazing results for yourself. Invisalign treatment starts with a quick scan of your teeth. You can even preview what your new smile will look like before you start! Once the initial scan is complete, we’ll create a custom treatment plan tailored just for you. Clear aligners are made that are worn over your teeth to gently move them into the desired position. Trays are changed every 7-14 days and we’ll work together every step of the way until you’ve got the perfect smile.

Six Month Smiles®
Six Month Smiles offers a revolutionary combination of proven orthodontic techniques, modern materials, and innovative thought – This groundbreaking system uses specialized clear braces to gently straighten and align your teeth in an average of just six months.

Gum Contouring
Healthy and correctly positioned gums are the frame for your smile.
- Crown lengthening moves the gum line when it covers too much of a tooth (seen in the image to the right)
- Gingivectomy gum contouring creates alterations in gum levels to achieve more symmetry in your smile
- Pinhole rejuvenation gum grafting restores areas of gum recession (click here for more info)

When people think of what they would like to improve with their smile, they often don’t even consider their gum line. However, your gums play a huge role in determining the shape of your teeth and smile. For instance, if your gum line covers too much of your teeth, they can appear short and stubby or out of proportion with neighboring teeth.
- Gingivectomy - A soft tissue laser is used to efficiently remove excess gum tissue to show more tooth structure and increase symmetry between neighboring teeth. No incisions or sutures required and healing is quick and predictable.
- Crown Lengthening - Performed when bone and gum levels need to be altered to achieve a long lasting result. Depending on severity of need and how many teeth are involved, incisions and sutures may be required.
We have several treatment options and modern technology available to sculpt your gum line and show off more of your bright, beautiful teeth. The best part is, most procedures can usually be done in a single short visit with a bit of local anesthetic. Even though the procedure is quick, the results can be dramatic!
